| Pre-menstrual Period referes to a period which precedes the menstrual flow and which, theoretically, goes from half the cycle, when ovulation occurs, to flow start. In practice, it refers to a variable 3-to-7-day period that antecedes flow start, since this is the time when most women show typical signs and/or symptoms, which disappear following the first or second day of flow.
