Carol Gilligan was born in 1937 at New York. She was a Patricia Albjerg Professor of Gender Studies, Harvard University. She got her Ph.D. at the Harvard University. Her most famous ach ievements: Challenged Lawrence Kohlberg's theories of moral development on the basis of gender bias; Pioneer in the research on moral development of women; One of Time Magazine's 25 most influential people of 1996.
