Clinical psychology
Clinical psychology is the branch of psychology dealing with the diagnosis and treatment of personality and behavioral disorders., and psychiatric problems. American psychologist Lightner Witmer first introduced the term in a 1907 paper. Clinical psychologists usually have a Ph.D. in psychology and receive training in clinical settings. Clinical psychologists often work in medical settings, private practice, or in academic positions at universities and colleges.
