Posthypnotic suggestion refers to a suggestion that a person receives while under hypnosis and acts on when he or she is again in the waking state.
Posthypnotic suggestion involves a per son who has received an instruction while hypnotized, then carries the instruction out when in the normal waking state without conciously remembering the instruction.
Posthypnotic suggestion is also spelled Post-hypnotic suggestion.
