Cell body refers to the center of the neuron that keeps the neuron alive; the soma, or major portion of the body of a nerve cell. The main part of a cell, containing the nucleus
Moreover, Cell body is the part of a neuron that contains the neuron’s metabolic machinery and that receives stimulation from other neurons.
