Multiaxial system
Multiaxial system refers to a multi-dimensional classification and diagnostic system that summarizes a variety of relevant information about an individual's physical and psychological functioning.
Moreover, Multiaxial system refers to a classification system consisting of several different domains (axes) of information about the subject that may assist a clinician in planning the treatment of a disorder. The DSM is an example of a multiaxial classification system which has five (5) Axes.
