- Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME) : Myalgic Encephalomyelitis refers to a Condition characterized by extreme disabling Fatigue that has lasted for at least six (6) months and is made worse by physical or mental exertion, whi
ch does not resolve with bed rest, and cannot be attributed to other disorders.

Myalgic Encephalomyelitis usually occurs as a sequel to such viral infections as glandular fever.

Extreme disabling fatigue is accompanied by at least some of the following:
_
1. Muscle pain or weakness;
2. Poor co-ordination;
3. Joint pain;
4. Sore throat;
5. Slight fever;
6. Painful lymph nodes in the neck and armpits;
7. Depression;
8. Inability to concentrate; and
9. General malaise.
