Geons
Geons (geometric icons) refer to the volumetric features of Biederman"s recognition-by-components Theory of object perception. Examples of Geons are blocks, cylinders, spheres, arcs, and wed ges. According to Biederman, there are about 36 different geons, whic can be arranged in almost endless different ways.
