Time sampling
Time sampling refers to a technique of behavioral observation that involves observing for one interval, then pausing during the next interval to record all the observations. The sequence of observe-record-observe-record is continued through the series of intervals.
It is a procedure in which an investigator records the frequencies with which individuals display particular behaviors during the brief time intervals that each participant is observed.
This method is also used to observe multiple behaviors of one person or multiple people performing one behavior.
