Thrombosis
Thrombosis refers to a type of occlusion in which a clot or thrombus (Greek word which means "clot") forms in an artery and obstructs blood flow at the site of its formation. This is the most common form of stroke and accounts for approximately 65% of all cerebrovascular accidents.
