Episodic buffer is defined as a limited-capacity system that is capable of binding information from the subsidiary systems and from long-term memory into a unitary episodic representation. Episodic buffer is a component of Baddeley's working memory model that is hypothesized to temporarily maintain and integrate the information of different sensory inputs (visual and auditory) through its relationship with long-term memory.
