Noncommunicating hydrocephalus is a form of hydrocephalus produced by obstruction within the ventricular system of the brain. The obstruction can be a consequence of congenital malformation, tumors, or scarring. Noncommunicating hydrocephalus is also referred to as Obstructive hydrocephalus.
