Bulimarexia is defined as an eating disorder in which one alternates between abnormal craving for and aversion to food. It is characterized by episodes of excessive food intake followed by periods of fasting and self -induced vomiting or diarrhea. Bulimarexia is also called Binge-purge syndrome, Binge-vomit syndrome, Bulimia nervosa.

Bulimia refers to an eating disorder characterized by periodic bingeing and purging, the latter usually taking the form of self -induced vomiting or laxative abuse.

- Bulimia Nervosa : Bulimia Nervosa refers to an eating disorder in which there is binge eating and compensatory behaviour, example is self -induced vomiting to prevent weight gain.
