    Engrossment

    Engrossment is defined as the paternal analogue of maternal emotional bonding. It is a term used to describe fathers’ fascination with their neonates, including their desire to touch, hold, caress, and talk to the newborn baby.

    Enmeshed families is defined as families in which there is extreme interdependence in family interactions, so that the boundaries between the identities of individual members are weak and easily crossed

    Enmeshed relationships

    Enmeshed relationships refer to a relationships which is characterized by over-involvement in one another to the extent that any change in one family member is met by strong resistance by the others. Individuality is viewed as a threat to this kind of relationship.
