Extraversion is defined as one of the two (2) major attitudes or orientations of personality . Extraversion is associated with valuing objective experience and receiving and responding to the external world rather than thinking about one’s own perceptions or internal world. It refers to the degree to which an individual tends to seek out social contacts . Introverts are oriented primarily toward inner perceptions and judgments of concepts and ideas, whereas extraverts are oriented primarily toward social experiences. Extraversion, moreover, refers to an attitude of the psyche characterized by an orientation toward the external world and other people. People high on this dimension thrive on social interaction , readily express their opinions and feelings , like to keep busy, and prefer stimulating and challenging environments.
