- CVA (Cerebrovascular accident) : CVA is the acronym of Cerebrovascular accident which is a technical term for Stroke describes a heterogeneous groups of vascular disorders associated with damage to the brain's blood vessels and decreased blood flow within and to the brain. It is an interruption of the blood flow in the brain.

CVS (Chorionic Villus Sampling)

- CVS (Chorionic Villus Sampling) : CVS (Chorionic Villus Sampling ) is the sampling and testing of the Chorion for fetal abnormalities. It is an alternative to amniocentesis in which fetal cells are extracted from the Chorion for prenatal tests. CVS can be performed earlier in pregnancy than is possible with amniocentesis.
