Competence -environmental press theory refers to a theory under Ecological and Systems Theory proposed by Lawton and Nahenow which proposed that adaptation is optimal when ability and demands are in balance. This theory put strong emphasis on biological, psychological and social effects on human development and put moderate emphasis on life cycle.
