Postconventional morality

Postconventional morality refers to Kohlberg’s term for the 5th and 6th stages of Moral reasoning, in which moral judgments are based on social contracts and democratic law (Stage 5) or on universal principles of ethics and justice (Stage 6) In Kohlberg's stages of Moral reasoning, it is the most mature form of moral judgment. Moral decisions are based on an appreciation of the social contract that binds members of a social system and on personal values.

Postdecision dissonance

Postdecision dissonance refers to Dissonance that is inevitably aroused after a person makes a decision; in this situation, Dissonance is typically reduced by enhancing the attractiveness of the chosen alternative and devaluing the rejected alternatives

Postdiction

Postdiction refers to an attempt to account for something after it has occurred. Postdiction is contrasted with Prediction, which attempts to specify the conditions under which an event that has not yet occurred will occur.

Posterior

Posterior means located toward the rear end, toward the back or the tail.
