- Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) : post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) refers to a form of anxiety disorder whereby the child displays persistent anxiety following exposure to or witnessing of an overwhelming traumatic event that is outside the range of usual human experience.
