"Concentration" refers to the mental and cognitive ability to focus one's attention on a particular task, activity, or stimulus while ignoring or minimizing distractions. Concentration is a fundamental aspect of cognitive functioning and is critical for various daily activities, including studying, working, problem-solving, and even leisure activities. The ability to concentrate effectively can have a significant impact on an individual's productivity, performance, and overall well-being.
Concentrative meditation refers to mental exercise based on attending to a single object or thought.
Concentric refers to action that occurs when a muscle is activated and shortens.
Concentric contraction refers to a contraction in which there is a shortening of the muscle that causes motion to occur at the joints it crosses.
Concept attainment is a term in Bruner’s system it refers to the process of discovering the attributes that identify members of a category. (see Concept formation.)
Concept formation is the process of classifying information into meaningful categories ; discovering that different classes exist, in Bruner’s system. (see Concept attainment.)
