Computer addiction refers to a disorder in which the individual turns to the internet or plays computer games in an attempt to change moods, overcome anxiety, deal with depression, reduce isolation or loneliness, or distract themselves from overwhelming problems.
Computer crime refers to any crime perpetrated through the use of computer technology. Also, any violation of a federal or state computer-crime statute. It is also known as cybercrime.
Computer interviewing refers to the use of computers for administering clinical interviews.
Computer literacy refer to the minimal skills required for effective interaction with computers and does not require knowing how a computer functions, or how to program computers.
Computer metaphor refers to the basis for the information processing view of the brain. Different types of psychological processes are thought to be analogous to the workings of a computer processor.
Computer related crime refers the manipulation of a computer or computer data for criminal purposes.
Computer simulation refer to attempts to develop computer systems capable of mimicking the intelligent functioning of humans which include errors and biases. In Computer simulation, the emphasis is on process; in contrast, the field of Artificial Intelligence emphasizes the outcome. (see Artificial intelligence.)
Computer virus refers to a set of computer instructions that propagates copies or versions of itself into computer programs or data when it is executed.
