Case Management refer to the procedure for collecting, recording, organizing, and perserving investigative information. It is the overall process involved in maintaining the optimal functioning of clients; comprises all of the professional activities beyond direct counseling skills that are needed to make the professional helping relationship successful, which includes: documentation ; consultation, supervision, and collaboration ; communicating with stakeholders; business-related activities ; and caseload management. One of the eight (8) core areas of knowledge and skills.

Case manager refers to a A person, either paid or voluntary, who helps an older person secure services: Ccase management typically involves assessment, care planning, resource mobilization, monitoring, and reassessment processes.

Case notes refers to a record, prepared by the clinician, of how counseling proceeds. A key part of the client’s record, providing a clinical reference for professional use and a mechanism or showing accountability. Case notes is also referred to as Progress notes.

Case reports refer to reports used to summarize client sessions. Such reports are usually the reflection of information gathered during a structured interview or during daily client contacts.

Case studies refer to in-depth analyses of individuals

Case study refers to a research design for in-depth investigation of a person or small group of individuals.

Case study approach refers to a descriptive research approach that involves intensive examination of one or a few individuals.

Case study design refers to an in-depth study and detailed description of a single individual or a very small group. A Case study may involve an intervention or treatment administered by the researcher.
