Diarthrodial joints

Diarthrodial joints refer to freely movable synovial joints containing a joint capsule and hyaline cartilage and lubricated by synovial fluid.

Diary study

Diary study refers to a questionnaire method in which participants write answers to specified questions in a diary or notebook, either at specified times or when prompted by an electronic pager.

Diaschisis

Diaschisis refers to a passive process of uncovering working neural systems after temporary neuronal disruption in areas far removed from the lesion site; decreased activity of surviving neurons after other neurons are damaged.

Diastole is a period of filling of the heart between contractions, that is, resting phase of the heart

Diastolic is arterial blood pressure during Diastole, when the heart is resting while measuring blood pressure.
