Coping outcomes refer to the beneficial effects that are thought to result from successful coping; these include reducing stress, adjusting more successfully to it, maintaining emotional equilibrium, having satisfying relationships with others, and maintaining a positive self -image.
Coping styles refer to the ways in which people react to stressful events; general predispositions to dealing with stress.
Likewise, Coping styles are tools a person tends to use repeatedly in dealing with stress, traumatic events, deaths, etc. The two (2) most basic coping styles are Approach coping and Avoidant coping.

In the context of psychology, this term refers to the strategies and mechanisms people employ to navigate through grief and adjust to life after a loss.
